Meet the Herbalist

Hi, I’m Adrienne

I am a Certified Integrative Herbalist specializing in women’s health, passionate about helping create a world where women understand their bodies and feel knowledgeable, confident, and supported in their unique health needs, from their first period through menopause and beyond.

My journey into herbalism began more than ten years ago. I wanted to grow and forage food on my acreage, and after attending a herb walk with a local herbalist, I discovered an entirely new world of plant medicine.

Those early days of gathering rose hips, yarrow, and plantain with my children were a lot of fun, and making my first teas and tinctures was incredibly rewarding. But I eventually realized that if I wanted to do more than experiment with plants for my own benefit, I needed to learn more than what was possible for me to figure out on my own.

After moving to Manitoba, I discovered The Hollow Reed School of Healing Arts and Herbals and studied with Master Herbalist Chad Cornell as an apprentice for three years, completing my studies in June of 2026. These years shaped not only my knowledge of herbalism and the plants but also my perspective on health. I’ve learned to see health as layered and interconnected, influenced by long-term patterns of nourishment, stress, and daily life and relationships – unique to each individual (Read more here).

As a wife, mother of two, and business owner, I know what it feels like to try to balance family, work, and responsibility and to consistently place your own needs at the bottom of the list. For many women, especially mothers, over-giving becomes normal. We push through fatigue, ignore early warning signs and tell ourselves we’ll rest later.

In my own life, I’ve seen how costly that can be. My mother died when she was only fifty years old. Losing her so young shaped the way I think about women’s well-being: health, strength, and vitality is not something we should take for granted. It must be supported, protected and rebuilt when necessary.

That understanding shapes the way I work with women today: thoughtfully, collaboratively, and with long-term strength and resilience in mind.

Frequently Asked Questions

Hormonal and nervous system patterns develop over time, and meaningful change is often layered rather than immediate. Some women notice subtle shifts within a few weeks, while deeper resilience tends to build over several cycles. This work is designed for steady, long-term support rather than quick symptom suppression.

No. My work focuses on botanical and lifestyle support. I do not prescribe pharmaceuticals or replace medical evaluation. Integrative care works best when appropriate medical guidance is involved, and I encourage collaboration with your primary healthcare provider whenever needed.

Yes. Botanical support can still be thoughtfully tailored to your current stage and concerns. Cycle literacy work may look different depending on whether ovulation is occurring, but there is still meaningful work that can be done to support overall stress resilience and well-being.

Yes. I am happy to support teen girls as they begin navigating their menstrual years. For clients under the legal age of consent, a parent or guardian must be actively involved in the process. For teens who have reached the age of consent, consultations may be arranged directly, though parental awareness and support are encouraged whenever appropriate. Contact me for Student Pricing.
